The formula to find the capacity of a barrel is V=R3 x X6, where V=capacity, and R= diagonal. Weight in kilos is different depending on the special weight of liquid. If it is must, the weight is bigger, while the wine is smaller.
To find how much litres is the capacity of your barrel you should take a batten, put it sideways from the opening hole until it leans in the opposite corner, under the barrels tap and measure the distance being careful the batten it is in the middle of hole. Repeat with the same way and on the other hand. If, as an example, a side shows you 68 cm and the other 72 cm, you add the two and you divide via 2 (68+72=140/2=70cm).
We prepared a table with values for the diagonal and the resulting capacity of the barrel
